AVVIO, the award winning Brand Engagement Agency were looking for an alternative option to their existing healthcare scheme. So they approached Chartwell Healthcare to help them. AVVIO’s concern was that, whilst they believed that their claims had been minimal, the cost of their existing healthcare policy had increased considerably at renewal. For example, for one employee, the premium had increased by over 40%. AVVIO also highlighted the fact that, due to the shortfall in their current provider’s benefits, a small number of employees had needed to pay for osteopathy and physiotherapy themselves.
A detailed fact finding exercise was conducted by one of Chartwell Healthcare’s Senior Advisors and, following a review, it was identified that in addition to the policy renewal cost issue, there was a real requirement for a greater level of cover for the company’s employees to be sourced to ensure that AVVIO’s employees were fully covered. Chartwell Healthcare presented the requirements of AVVIO to a panel of healthcare providers and identified a scheme that was competitively priced and offered greater benefits. In addition, it was suggested that the company should have a separate corporate Cash Plan, to increase the complementary medicine benefit for employees and also provide dental and optical cover. The cash plan offered a further benefit: any claims made against it would not affect the renewal premium of the healthcare scheme, helping to minimise the risk of excessive renewal increases in future years. Chartwell Healthcare were also able to make a cost saving for AVVIO regarding their healthcare renewal.
